The Washington County Board of Supervisors have agreed to a proposal of providing architectural and construction administration services to HACAP and CDBG. They will be working with Shive-Hattery during this project at Orchard Hill.
They also held the first reading of an ordinance for the establishment of a county wide Local Option Sales and Services Tax. This tax would allow the current tax to continue after July first of next year.
A proposal from the Washington County Safety Committee for a county-wide seatbelt policy was approved stating all county employees need to wear seatbelts when conducting business.
The Supervisors also approved an order for a recount of Riverside election results. This recount will be conducted on Monday at 12:00 in the Supervisor meeting room. This recount was requested by Tom Sexton who was running for a position on the City Council in Riverside.
