Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey is encouraging Iowans to by locally grown Christmas Trees this season. You won’t have to go too far to find one in Washington County.Larry Cuddeback of Cuddeback Farms sells Christmas trees every year. He says people choose to get a real tree for a lot of reasons. Mostly it’s for the experience. He says it’s an adventure for the family, and they have multiple generations of families that keep coming back for the experience. He gave us some tips on how to find a good tree. He says the most important thing to look for is a straight stem because that makes it easier to put up. He says beyond that most people have their own idea of a perfect tree, a lot of people like bright green colors, and some people like a more frosted look. Cuddeback says they will be there to help people find the tree they’re looking for.
