The Washington City Council is holding public hearings as part of their meeting tonight.  The third reading will be held regarding the addition of a yield sign at East 9th Street and North 7th Avenue.  A third reading will also be held for the addition of no parking zones at East 2nd Avenue at East Madison Street and at East Van Buren Street at South Iowa Avenue.

The Council will also hold a public hearing regarding the west side sanitary sewer interceptor project.  Following this public hearing will be discussion for a resolution to approve the plans, specifications, form of contract and engineer’s cost estimate as well as setting a bid date for this project.

Discussion will also be held regarding the awarding and approving of a contract for the second phase of the Tienda La Cruz demolition project.  The Washington City Council meeting is tonight at 6:00 in the old public library.
