The Washington Girls basketball season got underway last night with all three teams picking up a win over Eddyville-Blakesburg. The freshman team eked out a 31-30 win and the JV squad cruised to 51-17 final. The varsity squad sprinted out to a 42-20 halftime lead and held on to a 63-56 win. Syd Greiner paced the scoring with 28 and was joined in double figures by Regan Enfield who poured in 10. Next up for the Demons is a scrimmage with Waco in the Hall of Pride game on Friday before continuing their regular season run next Tuesday when they host Mid Prairie.
