High School students in Washington have one last chance to learn about a future career through an internship opportunity.  Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator Nanci Young with Kirkwood Community College says close to 1300 high school students in the Grant Wood Education Agency Area 10 this fall have signed up for various job shadowing and internships.

She says 24 students from Washington are taking part in these job shadows.  The top ten career choices range from athletic trainer and radiology technician to teachers and engineers.

Young says this is part of a second opportunity to apply for Workplace Learning Connection’s internships.  Internship applications are due today.  For more information, contact the high school Guidance Office.
