The Lone Tree Lion football team’s season came to an end Friday in the quarterfinal round. The Lions lost to Lisbon 20-7. The Lions finish the season 10-2 and were ranked much of the season. Head Coach Mike Miller says he had a feeling they had a chance to have some success this season but they weren’t sure at to what extent. He says one of the things he really liked was he saw a lot of improvement from week to week. The Lions finished second in the district and their only two losses came to Lisbon. Miller believes their success is a product of their hard work ethic in and out of season. He hopes the foundation is in place for the program to continue to get a strong work ethic especially in the off season. He believes the younger kids were excited about their success and that will fuel their desire to do what needs to be done in the off season. The Lions had seven seniors: Conner Larew, Max Larew, Levi Reitzler, John Hudson, Harry Miller, Ian Menzer, and Alex Moore.
