The Washington School Board held a special meeting tonight to approve a contractor for work of the boilers in the 1918 building.  The Board has approved Ragan Mechanical in Davenport to replace the two boilers at a cost of just under one hundred sixty five thousand dollars.  The work needs to be completed by March 22nd of next year or the District could lose funding for the project.

They rejected bid proposals of replacing the pneumatic controls in the building, however it was decided to look at the cost of possibly replacing the controls where needed.  The overall budget for this project is three hundred sixty thousand dollars.
