Main Street Washington is hosting new event tonight to help stimulate sales for local businesses.  Amy Vetter with Main Street says the Shop and Stroll is a new event to encourage people to come to downtown and get a head start on their shopping.

She says 15 businesses are taking part.  Vetter says this is part of their annual Showcasing Nights of Washington events.

She adds this event is a great way to shop locally.  The Shop and Stroll event runs from 5:00 to 9:00 tonight and for more information, look at the link here.
