Various races for city council members were part of yesterday’s election in the cities of Washington County.  New mayors have been elected in Kalona, Riverside, and West Chester.  Lone Tree, Keota and Harper have reelected their mayor.

A new Park Board member was chosen in Washington and the extension of the 1% Local Option Sales Tax passed in the county as well.  Election results showing the winners from all of southeast Iowa can be found at here.
