Union Reaches 3A Championship Game

In the high school football playoffs, 2A and 3A semifinal games were played yesterday. In 3A, Union LaPorte City, the team that started the postseason with a late 4th quarter rally to beat the Demons, will play for the state championship. The Knights beat ADM yesterday in the UNI-Dome 42-28. Union will now play Decorah, who beat Harlan 35-14 in the other semifinal. The two will play on Saturday.

Also in 2A, Iowa City Regina earned the right to defend their title beating Dyersville Beckman 35-28 while Spirit Lake was a winner over West Marshall.

Class 1A, 2A, and 3A title games will be played on Saturday.
