The Washington County Public Safety Center personnel are again getting into the Christmas spirit by presenting the “Everyone’s an Elf” project.  Cara Sorrells with the Safety Center says this is the 8th year that employees are donating toys and raising money to buy gifts for needy families this Christmas by having their annual bake sale and blue jean Fridays.

They have a goal to sponsor five or more families this year.  The “Elves” at the safety center will go shopping and do the wrapping of the toys from now until December 22nd.

Volunteers will help “Santa” and deliver everything before Christmas Eve.  To find out more information about the “Elf” project, contact Teresa Todd or Cara Sorrells at 653-2107, 800-TIPS-492 or by email ttodd@wps.co.washington.ia.us or csorrells@wps.co.washington.ia.us.
