A man from Washington has been ordered into court stemming from an investigation in July.  Thirty-six year old Travis Lee Lorence was found approximately 3:10 in the morning on July 25th in the north parking lot of the Sugar Creek Church by Henry County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Upon investigating Lorence’s presence at the church, several articles were taken from inside the vehicle and sent to the Division of Criminal Investigation labs for testing.

As a result of those tests, Lorence has been charged with a simple misdemeanor for the possession of drug paraphernalia, two aggravated misdemeanors for possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine, and possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture more than five grams of methamphetamine, which is a Class B felony.

Lorence’s initial court appearance has been set for a later date.  A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.  KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
