The Washington County Board of Supervisors have set a guideline for next year’s county budget.  During their meeting today, they passed a guideline of increasing the budget for each county department by a total bottom line of two percent and increasing the wages of the employees by no more than two point four percent.  These increases will take effect July first of next year.

They also acknowledged the approval of award for acquisition of the Richmond sanitary sewer system property.

Washington County Attorney Larry Brock says as part of the Compensation Board meeting from last week, it was recommended that ninety-five thousand dollars will be awarded to Holy Trinity Church in Richmond for the property and the other contingent remaining interest holders will receive no money for the property.  The amount being given to Holy Trinity Church is more than the appraised value of $81,650.

The Board also made two appointments to the Washington County Board of Health.  Both Dr. Wendy Miller and Jim Miksch will serve another three-year term taking effect January first.
