The Washington City Council met last night and agreed to use a new engineering firm for new projects in the city.  Fox Engineering will still be used for water and the waste water plant and Veenstra and Kim Engineering will be used on all other projects.

A resolution was passed to establish new and rename existing funds.  This is for the purpose of making it easier to track funds.

The Council agreed to hire an assistant cemetery superintendent as part of the Maintenance and Construction Department.

A change order was approved to extend the portion of the contract for the Tienda La Cruz demolition. Cornerstone Excavation recommended building a fiber cement board on the common wall used by the dentist’s office.  This portion of the project will be finished in the spring.
