Now that winter precipitation has fallen over the area, the Iowa State Patrol wants to pass along tips for driving safe throughout the winter season. Trooper Jason Marlow, from District 13 in Mount Pleasant says that besides buckling your seat belt, a major factor in staying safe while driving is to slow down. He says that you will get to your destination safer if you allow yourself extra time to get there.
Marlow continues to say that you should think about if you really have to go out as conditions worsen. He recommends that if you don’t have to leave, stay home when conditions become hazardous.
