Enrollment Down in Some Parts of Iowa

While enrollment is dropping in schools all across northern Iowa, local schools have seen steady enrollment, and even some increases. Mark Schneider, Superintendent of Mid-Prairie and Keota Schools, tells us that although they lost about five students from their district, they gained about 25 through open enrollment. It seems for this year at least, Mid-Prairie schools have avoided the loss of students seen in the rest of the state.
