A Washington man has been arrested after a weekend high-speed chase.  According to the Washington County Safety Center, 26 year old Justin Wayne Milam of Washington was driving at a high rate of speed in Kalona early Sunday morning.  Milam was found south of Wellman after his vehicle had run off the road at 1537 Gingko Avenue.

Milam has been charged with 11 counts.  He was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.  Those responding to the scene of the accident were the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Wellman Fire Department, Washington County Rescue, Wellman First Responders and Washington County Ambulance.

The full list of charges are:  Eluding, assault on a peace officer, reckless driving, operating while intoxicated, driving under suspension, speeding (90 mph in a 55 mph zone), failure to obey a stop sign, failure to maintain control, driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway, failure to use headlights and littering.
