The Kalona City Council will have their last meeting of the year tonight. They will be discussing the golf cart ordinance for the final time before voting on it. The proposed regulations on the carts are that they must travel on the roadway, they must have headlights, and must have a top speed of 25 miles per hour. They would not be allowed on Highways 1 and 22. They’ll also hear an update on the FEMA mapping, which was requested earlier this year, and vote on actions to be taken with the A Avenue Bridge. The meeting is tonight at 7:30 pm.
