Wellman, IA – The Golden Hawks are on the mat tonight in a double duel at Durant against the Wildcats and North Cedar.
Mid Prairie is coming off a solid showing at last weekend’s tournament in New London where all but one wrestler placed in the top five, two made the championships with Phiram Peterschmidt registering a fall in all three of his matches. Mid Prairie coach Justin Garvey joined the PM Sports Page Wednesday night to talk about the double duel Thursday. Garvey likes the matchup against the Knights and says Durant will provide some very tough match ups.

“From what I’ve seen results wise, we should match up pretty good against North Cedar. Durant has got some guys that are really good. They had success last year at the state tournament so we’re going to have some tough matches, some guys are going to come up against some stiff competition against them (Durant) and we’ll just see where we’re at.”

Tune in to KCII radio and check out Friday morning for the results.
