The Washington Ministerial Alliance is working to raise funds for the Salvation Army this year.  Pastor Harald Gruber from Faith Baptist Church says the group will be out this month ringing bells for the Salvation Army red kettle campaign.  He says they have set a goal of $10,000 they are trying to raise throughout the area for this holiday season.

Pastor Gruber says these funds are used all year for those in need and not just around Christmas.  He says volunteers are needed to help ring bells at businesses in Washington.

The shifts will last for two hours on the weekends through the 24th.  Those wanting to help the Ministerial Alliance ring bells should contact either Deb McCreedy at 319-461-6783 or Ron Bennett at 653-3003.
