An accident in Henry County has resulted in the injuries of several people.  According to the Iowa State Patrol, 31 year old Amber Porter of Mt. Pleasant was driving south on Linden Drive in Mt. Pleasant yesterday morning around 7:45.  Porter lost control, slid on the ice covered road and crossed the center line crashing into a Mt. Pleasant Community School bus driving northbound.

There were six students on the bus injured and treated at the scene.  Porter was also injured and transported to Henry County Health Center.

She was also charged with failure to maintain control.  Assisting at the scene were the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, Mt. Pleasant Fire Department and the Henry County Ambulance.  The accident remains under investigation.
