One of the more common New Year’s resolutions is to lose weight. Teri Hartzler from Bodywrx Fitness in Washington says they get a lot of new memberships around New Years, and many of those memberships are cancelled within a few months. She tells us that the people who are able to stay motivated do it by changing their workout on a regular basis. She says workouts should be changed up once a month. She also notices that people who take workout classes tend to stay motivated longer. She thinks the group atmosphere and the fact that an instructor is making the workout make it easier and more fun, so people stick with it longer.
