A Washington County man has been arrested and charged with multiple sex crimes.  According to Jefferson County Attorney Timothy Dille, 35 year old Joshua Wade Hendricks formerly of Fairfield was arrested November 8th and has been charged with five counts of sexual abuse in the third degree and one count of sexual abuse in the second degree.

The investigation was conducted by the Fairfield Police Department which led to the arrest.

Also assisting in the investigation were the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office, the Iowa Department of Human Services, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Attorney Dille notes a criminal charge is only an allegation and all persons are innocent until proven guilty by a jury of their peers.
