The 2012 Iowa Caucuses are happening tonight and those attending will do more than just pick who they would like to see become the next President.  Tricia Lipski, Washington County Co-Chair of the Central Committee says those coming will choose who will serve on the County’s Central Committee as well as who will represent the county at the state level in Des Moines.  She adds they will take a Presidential Preference Poll which could be anyone who has already decided to run for the office.

Lipski says after the ballots have been totaled in each precinct, they will be added to the others cast across the 1700 locations in the state.  The overall winner will be announced after each precinct has been turned in.

Republican Caucus locations can be found here and Democrat Caucus locations can be found here.  Tune in tonight as KCII will be covering the caucuses and will bring you the information of the winners from across southeast Iowa as well as who was chosen on the statewide level.
