The Washington Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for recognitions at their annual banquet coming in March.  Tim Coffey with the Chamber says they are looking for nominations for the Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year and their Community Service Award.  The Business of the Year award will be given to a business that has been active in the Chamber and community and whose employees are involved in the community.

Coffey says they are looking for individuals who make living in Washington a better place to be nominated for Citizen of the Year.  He adds they are looking for people who have enhanced the quality of life in Washington by their involvement in specific events or series of events and things that have made a major impact on the area by their involvement to be selected for the Community Service Award.

All nomination forms are due to the chamber by Friday, February 17th and the winners will be presented at their Annual Dinner on March 19th.  To find out more information, contact the Washington Chamber of Commerce.
