The Washington Bowling Team held their coaches vs. cancer event on Saturday and the boys’ team picked up their first win of the season, outscoring Keokuk by 151 pins despite have just five bowlers (you can drop the sixth lowest score).  The Demons took both games in round one behind junior Dalton Nichols who led the way with 328 pins.  Of the five baker games in round two, the boys won two, tied one, but dominated the final game 223-168 for an overall 32 pin win in round two. The Chiefs had won the previous match-up by 720.

The girls’ team was not as successful, falling to Keokuk 2659-1924.

The coaches vs. cancer event featured a bake sale and other fund raising events.  The total money raised is not known as of yet, but we’ll get an updated number as soon as it’s available.
