Riverside, IA – Four area teams wrestled Saturday in the Gary Curtis Invitational hosted by Highland.  Alburnett finished with 214.5 points to win the Invite with the Washington Demons finishing in fourth with 139.5 points.  The Demons’ Fletcher Green and Tanner Knupp each took second place in the 106 and 138 pound class.  The Demons had four wrestlers finish third, including Brad Skubal (160), Matt Grote (170), and Joe Smith (182), and Kyle Fehlberg (285).

WMU/New London finished sixth out of the 11 teams with 101.5 points.  Columbus posted 75 points to finish eighth behind a third-place finish from Ray Quiroz (106) and Austin Edwards (126).  Highland, the host of the Invitational, finished in ninth.  Jess Hahn posted a 6-2 decision to bring home the championship at 132 pounds.  Travis Cole lost a 2-0 decision to finish second at 113 and Kody Wood was also runner-up at 120 for the Huskies.
