The Washington County Conservation Board has joined with Pheasants Forever to provide an educational clinic about fishing and pheasants this afternoon.  Pam Holz, Washington County Naturalist says this event will feature activities including a chance fish using an underwater camera, practice ice fishing skills, sample local fish and have hot chocolate while learning about the pheasant population.

A lesson about gun safety will be taught by Ranger Bob Bellmer.  Those coming will have an opportunity to hunt virtual pheasants as well.

Holz says anyone over the age of 16 is required to have a fishing license.  She adds other activities will continue as planned if the ice is unsafe.

The events are happening this afternoon at Marr Park with registration beginning at 1:00.  For more information, contact Conservation Education Center at Marr Park.
