Boone, IA – The district and sub-state assignments for class 3A and 4A basketball have been released by the IHSAA. The Washington Demons have drawn a much different look, and more favorable, than in the past, headlined by favorite Mount Pleasant (11-1). Rounding out the rest of the district is Centerville (7-4), Chariton (4-8), Fairfield (4-7), Ft. Madison (3-8), Keokuk (8-4), and Oskaloosa (6-4). Demon boys basketball coach Bryce Smeins is happy to see a bit of change from the previous seasons’ match-ups.
“Interesting group of teams in our bracket… obviously Mount Pleasant is the highest rated team in that group. We haven’t gone this direction for quite a while so it’s good to see there’s some change down at the boys union. I’m obviously happy with that districts, it’s a different group than we usually play.”
We won’t know the match-ups in each group until most likely early February but you can view all the district assignments in classes 1-4 by going to the IHSAA website.
