Governor Branstad has announced new appointees to Iowa’s Boards and Commissions. Two residents from the area have been appointed out of the 58 total new appointees. Larry Marek of Riverside has been appointed to the Council of Agricultural Education. Paul Denison of Mount Pleasant has been appointed to the Iowa Arts Council, and he is the only new appointee to that council this year. These appointments were made between July of 2011 and January of 2012. The list of appointees was released yesterday.
