The official results for the Iowa Republican Caucus have been released. Rick Santorum has 34 votes more than Romney, but 8 precincts have missing data which could give the edge to Romney, so the results are being called a split decision by the Republican party . The County Chairs of each county in Iowa were required to send in confirmed results to the Republican Party of Iowa yesterday. There was some controversy about the results released on the night of the caucuses. One precinct  said that they received two votes for Mitt Romney, but the results showed 20 votes for Romney in that precinct.

Tricia Lipski, the Chair of the Republican Party in Washington County, says she’s sent in the results for Washington County and they were the same as the results released on the night of the caucuses.
