Today’s unseasonably warm weather means we could set a new record high for the day.  Jim Hladik, National Weather Service Forecaster in the Quad Cities says warm air is building across the plains states and a weather disturbance moving across the US-Canadian border is helping to draw this warmer air into the area. He adds with no snow cover, the air has little chance to moderate.

Hladik says the warmer air will be in the area today through tomorrow afternoon before dropping back to near normal tomorrow afternoon and over the weekend and above normal again early next week.  The record high for today in Washington is 57 set back in 1956.
