The Washington County Conservation Board has joined with Pheasants Forever to provide an educational clinic about fishing and pheasants.  Pam Holz, Washington County Naturalist says this event will feature four stations including a chance to practice ice fishing skills as well as a chance to fish with an underwater camera, sample local fish and have hot chocolate while learning about the pheasant population.

Ranger Bob Bellmer will teach those about gun safety and will give those an opportunity to hunt virtual pheasants.  Holz says anyone over the age of 16 is required to have a fishing license.

She adds if the ice is unsafe, all the other activities will continue as planned.  The events will be January 21st at Marr Park with registration beginning at 1:00.
