The Washington Community School District has received a donation to be used toward the renovation of a school building.  Superintendent Dr. Mike Joregnesen says the one hundred thousand dollars they received from Carl and Helen Dallmeyer.  This money which was pledged in the fall is to be specifically used to help pay for the upgrade to the electrical system in the current high school building.

Dr. Jorgensen says 807 thousand dollars has already been committed toward the 1918 building renovation and they are appreciative of this donation.

He adds there is still 500 thousand dollars more in improvements they would like to make but do not have the funds available to do so.  The school district received the check from the Dallmeyers late last month.
