Washington, IA – The Washington Demons travel to Mount Pleasant tonight for a dual that should be a close one on paper and every point will be hard fought.  Head coach Brent Van Weeldon touched on that last night on the PM Sports Page.

“There’s going to be a lot of close matches.  The other night with Ft. Madison we lost a lot of close matches.  We’re going to have to win those against Mount Pleasant to even have a chance.  They’re going to have a full lineup, we’ll have a full lineup.  It’s going to be tough.  They’re probably better at the upper ends (of weight classes) but they have some good kids down low and through the middle as well.  We can’t go out and get pinned and if we can put them on their backs we’ll hopefully get some falls.  If we don’t win the close matches it will probably end up like the Ft. Madison match the other night.”

Following tonight’s match and the conclusion of finals in the classroom tomorrow, the Demons will head to the Solon Invitational over the weekend.
