High school juniors are encouraged to apply for a college scholarship from the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association.  Amy Green, Washington County 4-H/Youth Coordinator says the Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is a $5000 college scholarship program.  Those who attend any high school in Iowa or home school program can apply.

Green says this Association honors up to 15 students who plan and accomplish a project of their own choosing and design.  She notes students are not evaluated on the basis of grades, test scores or financial need.  The scholarship application deadline is March 31st and for more information contact the Washington County Extension office or visit this link.
