Demons’ Kimball & Steele Named 1st-Team All-SEC

Two Washington senior boys’ basketball players join four other Southeast Conference seniors named to the 1st-Team All-Conference team. Brock Kimball (11.0ppg, 5.0rpg) and Colin Steele (13.4ppg, 6.5rpg) were both representatives from a Washington team that finished the year 13-9.

Dimitre Galbreath (15.2ppg, 5.5rpg) made the 1st-team from Keokuk while three players came from state tournament qualifier Mount Pleasant, including conference Player of the Year Jordan Ashton (18.4ppg).  The two 6’7” post-players from the Bloodhounds, Nick Lyon (11.7ppg, 7.0rpg) and Blake Vandenberg (8.5ppg, 9.0rpg) make up the six players on the first team.

Demon senior Jake Redlinger (11.6ppg) was named 2nd-team All-SEC while Dillon Redlinger (8.8ppg) was an honorable mention.

As a team, Washington had eight Academic All-Conference members to lead the SEC, including six players.  Seniors Brock Kimball, Jake Redlinger, and Colin Steele are joined by juniors Jake Dickenson, Justin Hoffman, and Kyle Roder as Academic All-Conference members.  Senior manager Linsey Turner and junior cheerleader Lauren Carter were also named to the all-conference team.
