With today’s snowfall that has fallen over the area, there are tips that you can follow to driving safely throughout the winter season.  Trooper Jason Marlow, from District 13 of the Iowa State Patrol in Mount Pleasant says that besides buckling your seat belt, a major factor in staying safe while driving in the snow is to slow down.  He says that you will get to your destination safer if you allow yourself extra time to get there.

Marlow continues to say that you should think about if you really have to go out as conditions get worse.  He recommends that if you don’t have to leave, stay home when conditions become hazardous.
