The Kalona City Council is meeting tonight. They will continue to talk about updating FEMA mapping for the area. They will also have another discussion on the naming of the West Ditch, which had its right put on eBay and caused some problems when a PETA Investigator attempted to name the creek Horse Meat Forbidden in Japanese. The naming rights were put up for auction again and were purchased by a new bidder who chose the name Salvesen Creek. There will also be a subdivision application in regards to Stables Subdivision. The meeting is taking place tonight at 7:30.
