There were many issues addressed during the second Washington Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Briefing Saturday morning. Both Senator Sandy Greiner and Representative Jarad Klein answered questions from the audience members about a wide variety of subjects. Most of the topics dealt with the gas tax and commercial property tax bills passed last week.
The other major issues raised were emergency services and funding for mental health services for children.
Both elected officials are preparing for Funnel Week which establishes a cut off date of when bills have to come out of committees. This is the first of two funnel weeks that is created for the purpose of trimming down bills to be considered by the legislature.
