Parents of a Mid-Prairie wrestler died, and a sister was injured, in a single car accident en-route to the regional wrestling match at Clear Creak-Amana Saturday.
47-year-old Mickey Murray and 46-year-old Julie Murray, parents of Golden Hawk sophomore wrestler Chase Murray, were killed, and 18-year-old Nicole Murray was injured, in a rollover accident in Johnson County.

Nicole has been released from the hospital. The Murray Family Fund has been established.

Mid-Prairie hosts rival Washington in a basketball double-header Tuesday night. In an email, Mid-Prairie Activities Director Steve Hollan, states “We will NOT be taking admissions, but will be asking for donations that will be given to the Murray family. We would like to suggest at least $5 per person donation, pretty much the same cost (as usual). If (attendees) want to go above and beyond that in their donation I am sure the family/children would be grateful.”
