The Washington County Extension is offering their Pork Quality Assurance Plus Program this week. Nancy Adrian with the Washington County Extension says training is being provided for pork producers who need certification in the program. She says Swine Specialist Tom Miller will be leading the training again this year.
The class is held to increase customer and consumer interest in the way food animals are raised and those receiving the certification will be certified for three years. The class runs from 7:00 to 9:00 Tuesday evening. To register for the class, contact the Washington County Extension office.
