The Washington County Extension is offering their Pork Quality Assurance Plus Program tomorrow night. This training is being provided for pork producers who need certification in the program. Washington County Extension Swine Specialist Tom Miller who will be leading the class says the certification is good for three years.
He says they will be covering food safety concerns in pork production as well as welfare issues that the industry has been facing. The class will go from 7:00 to 9:00 tomorrow evening. To register for the training please call the Washington County Extension office.
