Sergeant Lyle Hanson the investigator for the Washington Police Department has decided to move to patrol duty after 20 years serving as investigator.
Police Chief Greg Goodman says it’s not uncommon for officers to take on different roles. He says in many departments officers change roles every five years. Goodman says after you do one job for such a long time, sometimes its good to make a change. Sergeant Shawn Ellingson will be taking Hansen’s place as investigator.
