The Washington City Council is holding a special meeting tonight to discuss the city’s upcoming budget. City Administrator Brent Hinson presented the budget to the Council last month with the goal of having the budget out of a negative status by the end of June 2013. The new budget will take effect the first of July.
A public hearing will also be held tonight regarding the west side interceptor project. This hearing will be for the use of the state revolving fund and a loan not to exceed three million dollars. The special City Council meeting is tonight at 6:00 in the second floor of the Washington Public Library.
