As previously reported by KCII, members from the Washington and Fairfield Chambers of Commerce visited with Phil Wise, the Public Policy Advisor to the Director of the Department of Education for Iowa earlier this week in Des Moines.  One of those in attendance for that meeting was Charla Howard from Washington.  She says the most important part of the meeting was Wise’s valiant effort and passion to increase the education for children.

Howard notes one interesting fact that members of both political parties are working together on Governor Branstad’s education legislation.  She also applauds and agrees with Wise that we should challenge our legislators to work together on the Governor’s reform package.
