Those wanting to pursue a degree or certificate in a horticultural related field can still apply for scholarships.  These scholarships will be awarded to those who will be attending college or university in Iowa.  Nancy Adrian with the Washington County Extension says the Washington County Master Gardeners are offering a $500 Horticultural scholarship to Washington County residents.

She says graduating high school seniors and all residents returning to school are eligible to apply.  The applications can be found at any Washington County high school as well as the Extension Office.

The applications are due by April 16th and should be sent to her attention at the Washington County Extension Office.
