The Washington County Board of Supervisors reviewed bids for a grading project during their meeting yesterday. County Engineer Jacob Thorius says this project is on Dogwood Avenue from 190th Street north six miles to Highway 22 and is part of the County’s comprehensive road improvement project.
The winning bid was awarded to Cornerstone Excavating in Washington for over $766,000.00. The project will be starting later this spring.
They also passed a resolution for the purchase of a County highway right-of-way. This is for .64 acres of land along the current grading project on the Richmond Road. The cost of this land is just under $1600.
An acknowledgment was made of a rescue truck donation of funds by the Washington County Sheriff. Sheriff Dunbar says $1000 is being given toward equipment on the rescue trailer.
