A new event took place around the square in Washington yesterday to promote exercise. The Footloose Fridays event is a follow up to the Start Somewhere Walk that was held last fall.  Everyone was welcome to walk around the square for part of their lunch hour.  Also during the event, shoe donations were received for the Soles for Souls project.  Highland High School Student Morgan Fisher shares how she learned about the project.

All shoes will be sent to Sheldon where they will be further distributed to those in need in other parts of the country and around the world.  Shoes will still be collected in drop boxes around Washington for the next two weeks.  To find out locations, contact Washington County Public Health.
