A new location has been announced for Kirkwood’s Washington County Regional Center. Kirkwood President Mick Starcevich says an eight-acre piece of land has been donated by Jim and Margaret Dunn of Washington along Lexington Boulevard across from the Veteran’s Memorial. Starcevich says this donation was made because of Kirkwood’s effort of putting the interest of students first.
Kirkwood Board of Trustees District 4 Representative Karen Gorham says this new building is “a long-term educational investment in the Washington County region.”
A groundbreaking ceremony has been scheduled for early fall on the $9 million, 35,000 square foot facility. The doors to the new center could be open by the fall of next year.
